K-12 Education

Primera has built a reputation in the City of Chicago as an expert in engineering design for K-12 environments, and a trusted partner to school systems. We have provided consulting services such as Owners Representation and Construction Management, and written technical design standards. Our engineering design services have included new elementary, middle, and high schools, some of which will obtain certification with the US Green Building Council under LEED for Schools. As Managing Engineer for the Chicago Public Schools for over a decade, we completed over 30 renovations and upgrades. Since 2005, our commissioning group has completed over 50 school projects.

Primera's commitment to children does not end with helping to provide a safe, healthy, sustainable place for them to learn. Primera and our staff also contribute resources, and most importantly time, to the following organizations in support of Chicago's school children:
